My rear door has a pretty big dent in it and was giving an estimate of anywhere between $600-$1000 to fix it. So instead of fixing that i was able to get a new door for $150. Only problem is that the door is gray and my car is velocity red. I am wondering how much it would cost to paint the door red? Any estimates? Also was $150 for the door a steal?

 

yeah good deal on the door, painting that should save some some cash for sure. i couldnt tell you how much its going to cost but im sure someone will.

I'm gonna guess that it will cost just a little bit more than what the door costed. Red paint is expensive... Our red paint is more expensive.

 

vr paint in that size, from a rep shop, would be over $800

 

im dyin to see what unpainted rear carbon doors would look like on an 8

 

Someone posted just that in another thread... it looked like a striped turd.

The one exception might be for a BB rx8.

ha, im in houston. little bit too far. Really? $800 for the VR paint? thats crazy. Would another body shop be able to put a look alike paint on there? I didn't think it would be that expensive =/
