Mazda's turbocharged RX-8 SP will be making its Australian rally debut at the 2009 Targa Tasmania. The 2,821-pound sports car, driven by Steve Glenney and co-driver Bernia Webb, will be competing in the "Showroom 2WD" class.

It is really not a 2009. Just the fenders and headlights.

 

Man I hope the 8 wins. It sure does look sick. Not to mention it's lighter than most 8's and has B O O S T.
