I saw a photo and mention of an RX-8 in a report from the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, but it isn't indicated whether it is a 2009 or 2010 model. It looks like the current year 2009.

I could not find any concrete evidence of a 2010 RX-8 being planned. It made me a bit more uneasy when I read about RX-7 possibly replacing RX-8 in 2010. I posted that here:

There is no news on any sort of rotary car being created right now, besides the 16x.

They have also said that the RX-7 will not be making a return...*NEW NAME YAY*

As for the 8, that looks like the 09 to me.

I haven't seen any mention of putting the 16x (if and when it actually comes out) into an upcoming RX-8, nor any hint there would even be an RX-8 in 2010.

So after this year, R.I.P. RX-8?
