Watch towards the end how the R3 executes a snap pivot right in the middle of the turn at 2:34. Pretty impressive.

That's an epic fail for the rx-8, but then again the driver does DRIFTING competitions, not serious ones like these If tsuchiya was in the rx-8 he wouldve been first guaranteed...

It did look like those other cars in the first vid weren't stock. I'm guessing (assuming) they had some suspension mods and maybe even engine mods.

 

at 2:57 one of them says "supercharger" and at 4:14 when the 2 passes you can tell its FI as well. in fact all the cars except the 8 have guage pods tacked on. but it shows exactly why some us have been clamoring for Mazda to bring a 2 and Mazdaspeed 2 to the states.

 

I would feel bad if those cars were stock and they beat a R3 RX-8. But they weren't. Its apples to oranges again.....

I would like to see a R-magic RX-8 or a Aminya-(spell ) Rx-8 go against that bunch, i have a feeling it would have ended much different. And lets not forget the driver error too, a pro drifter against pro race car drivers ,c'mon!

I would love to see the pro drifter in one of the tuned cars and put a prodriver in the stock RX-8. Now that would have been entertaining to watch and perhaps with a different ending as well.

 

yeah any modded car can do anything but we have to accept that the RX8 is not the fastest car in the world either.

 

Thats why you are better off not getting the R3. Get the base modle and put some real suspension and mods on it.

 

Or just get a compact car and mod it and beat and RX8 while you spend less money and less gas :D

 

Or put rocket launchers on your RX-8 and...well, you know where this is going.

yeah, sorry about my negativity its just im frustrated with my car right now since im not done with the tuning and I sometimes feel like I should just burn the car lolz

haha well sometimes im negative sometimes I'm just telling the truth and it hurts. But yeah I am very very very impatient with my cars and I like it when they work like they are supposed to thats why.

and yeah sorry but some cars that are cheaper are better than an 8 even if you dont want to admit it hehe

Hey don't worry about it Alien, you will get your car fixed eventually. Thats the bitter sweet pain of modding a car. The more you mod it, the more something is going to go wrong with it.

You are right ,there are some faster cheaper cars out there, but at the end of the day would you rather pull up in a cheap looking fast car or a good looking car that looks fast? I think i would take the latter...

Hey in this world there will always be someone faster than you . Just think if you owned a Lamborghini, you would still be slower than a Veyron. But you don't see Lambo owners whining that there car only goes 210 compared to the 235+ mph of the Veyron.
