just need to vent...

so i lost my keys a couple months back and had to tow my car to the dealership to get new keys cut and programmed. i bought 2 switchblade keys/remotes off eBay and gave them to the service guy. that same day he calls and says that the keys won't program because they're for 05+ and mine is an 04 yaddayaddayadda, and i'll have to buy 2 regular keys from them for an extra $80. i kindly asked them to try again and he called back with the same story. well that little incident cost me $90 off eBay for the switchblade keys that "don't work" and $280 at the dealer for all 4 keys cut and the 2 "right" keys programmed. long story short, today i stumbled upon my 2 switchblade keys and decided to give them a whirl. wouldn't you know it, i programmed both of them in like 15 seconds. on top of that, i found my lost keys a couple days ago in my girlfriends car. awesome. so now i have 3 regular keys, 1 regular remote, and 2 switchblade keys/remotes... i'm not even going to complain to the dealership about the extra $80 because there's no way in hell they'll even care, much less do anything about it. oh well, lesson learned.

ha i tore her car apart looking for my keys, so i'm baffled as to how they showed up randomly. but ya, i'll bring that up from time to time lol.
