a mini-curse has struck me
anyways long story short, me and the gf decided to go to olive garden for v-day went inside waited 10 mins for them to tell us it was going to be a 2hr wait. we said forget that. went back outside did my usual check of the car and this is what i see...

there was no one behind me when i came back.
i know its not as bad as some of the ss out there, but it still hurts to see her like that.
anyways my question is should i call the insurance, this is my first time being in this situation. or just get it fix. does anyone know around what price is decent.
appreciate your help guys/gals

The shroud around the exhaust is about $30.
The bumper, if it's bothering you, can be repaired by a body shop. It's not necessary to replace it.

First, go back to olive garden and go to where you parked. See if there is a camera that might have caught it, and if there is, try to get a copy of that tape. Next, take it down to your local body shop and get a quote. If it's cheaper to fix it out of pocket then to pay the deductable, pay out of pocket. I would try to get the guy who did it and make them pay for it. Good Luck.
Silver!
Here's one link to the exhaust shroud.

It will be a comprehensive claim on your insurance. Doesn't count against you or your premium. (So they say) So what ever the deductible is that you have. A GOOD bodyshop should be able to fix that no problem.
At least the black plastic on the bumper seems to be OK... I had someone hit my car in pretty much the same spot, but they punched a hole in the black textured plastic in the bumper as well, so the whole thing had to be replaced; like Easy said, you should be able to get that patched up so long as its just the painted portion
I got lucky though, they reported it to the police, so I was able to get them to pay for the repair.

if you do decide to just get it fixed lemme know how much that rear bumper repair is going to cost because i have something very similar im looking to get fixed (yes im a part of the ss curse :-(.... sorry about that man... i hate people who arent honest, if you do something own up to it
