Aftermarket additions have VERY LITTLE effect on the price of the car (sometimes it can even lower it).

You're better off parting out..

Clean ride man. Like tubing said, it unfortunately doesn't add enough to the price to offset. Good luck, and have a free bump.

Bump for a very clean car, even if it's not my personal cup of tea. However I'd be prepared for it to take quite a long time to sell, modified cars usually have a smaller pool of potential buyers.

Maybe... but keep in mind that you can get a brand new 8 for the price you're asking...

Not sure where you live at, but the decked out GT models are going for 37k here in alberta, new(before tax, addons, etc).

Even kelly's blue book value, for my car and miles/km on it, they have it rated at 22k US/29k CDN for a "fair" condition.

Please let me know if i'm wrong, and if so, what is a "fair" price,
Brad

I'm in Ottawa.

Keep in mind that you are looking at the MSRP, not the actual price -- dealers here have offered me up to $8000 cashback on a new 8 before ($33K for a GT last summer) and that new cars go for 0% financing right now (vs about 7.35% for used cars) -- it's really about the same price.

BTW, this is what I came up with running your car through the KBB website:

Excellent US$20,235
Good US$19,235
Fair US$17,885

Your car looks like it's in really good shape, so I think you'd be able to get US$20K or about CAD$25K for it to someone who's interested and if you are willing to wait it out... less if you are desperate and needing to sell now. This price is also in-line with what you'll find in the Alberta Auto Trader (I checked ).

BTW, these prices do not include the cost of any mods. Any money in mods is usually not recovered when selling. You'd make more money parting out the car and selling it stock for the same price as the general populace would likely care less about mods. Your best bet is to bring it to car shows in the spring/summer and stick a For Sale sign on it.

Now I'm not trying to say your price is unfair or anything like that... more power to you if you can get that much for it. But I say at least look at what similar cars are selling for before sticking a price tag on it, otherwise you may have it for a long time... which is not necessarily a bad thing as summer is coming up

Fair enough, and thanks for showing me the math and such!

Gotta love how these cars drop in price all the darn time.

Guess i'll make a new thread and update pricing and such.
