I've been lurking on the forum for a while trying to decide on buying an 8. Finally took the plunge and picked up a black 05 manual. Have to say I love to drive it. I've read about pour mpg and thought I knew what to expect. Lets just say I'm still adjusting

I'm in levittown PA on the weekends and Ellicott City MD during the week. If any one wants to meet up and hang out I'm gassed up and ready to go.

Also I ordered the stock aero kit so if anyone wants to help out with the install I would more then greatful.

Installing the aero kit is a snap! you can install it in one day.

I live down by Fedex Field in MD, so we'll have to get together sometime and take a cruise. I just got my 2006 Shinka last week so I guess we're sort of in the same boat.

Did my first MPG calculation today....17.2mpg verysadface

And I thought I was going easy on her...jeeze

 

you can go easy or thrash it and you will get mostly the same mpg haha

 

be happy.. 17.2 is on the high side of mpg. I've had anywhere from 26.5 hwy to 11.1 hard city driving.

Yeah, if you live in Central Texas near the Killeen area let me know, me and a buddy of mine try to schedule monthly meets. Oh yeah, and drive that engine into the ground it likes it.

 

lol, my gas mileage around town was 14. I don't know if I was seeing things but I actually thought I sall the gas gauge move when I floored it! I did get better mpg on the drive down to MD this morning.

Hey apollo, What color is your 8? I bought a set of new side sills and aero rears and they came in cherry black (not b-black). Got them for $134 and would sell them for the same. Let me know.

I'll check out the local forum now. I just missed the Washington Crossing meet which is damn near in my back yard. I'll def be there next year though.

 

I have a copper red shinka, but it already has the aero kit on it. Thanks for the offer though!
