FYI, it's a 180 degree gopro motorsports camera.

got it for $160 and i'm pretty pleased with it. comes with all the mounting hardware you need, too.

 

GoPro is the ****, Jamie Slone (GoPro sponsored Grand-Am driver) hooked me up with one.

 

i'll put the video i took up whenever it gets uploaded. i was following my friend on a ninja 500 (and almost ran over him a few times.)

i just went through once.

cops aren't bad at all during the off season, especially late on a sunday afternoon.

i don't even recall seeing any other cars up there aside from some SUV's passing through.

this road gets kind of boring after a while. it sucks when its crowded or when there's a meet (every weekend) unless you're just going to see some nice cars.

coincidentally, i remember your car from last year.

i bought my 8 the day after DGRR. i came up there in a black prelude that day and hung out with some of my FB friends, wandered around, and then bought an 8 the very next day.

Great story. I was only there for part of Saturday last year, I might be around for 2 days this year. Hopefully Knoxville won't be under the threat of hail and a Tornado warning this time. That kind of ruined our Friday.

We had a blast on Saturday though, and the drive to Asheville (where we spent the second night) was just as scenic. Hopefully I'll have much better pictures from it this time.

the only thing i don't like about this camera is the sound... which is an issue with most cameras of this size. i'm satisfied with it. it's also waterproof

here are the videos; the first one is a test run on top of the 8, and the next one is on the hood of my 8, following a friend on his 500R at the dragon. after that, he takes the camera and heads back with it on the bike.
