Auto123.com RX-8 R3 Review

"An engine like no other
Get the Renesis engine spinning its rotors past about 6000 RPM, and its silky hum escalates into a smooth, siren-like wail. Power is delivered linearly between just off idle and just under the 9000 RPM 'shift-me-please' beeper. "
Cheers
Michael
I read that the same as Raspy. It sounds like he's saying the rotors are spinning at anything around 6000 RPMs, which is not true. The rotor spins 1 time for each eccentric shaft spinning 3 times. The RPMs are measured by the eccentric shaft.
I don't blame the guy, it's a very common misconception.
