Here's the deal.. about a year ago my cat clogged up in my garage which scared me because of the dreaded sound so i shut the car off right away which made it flood and i could not get it started again because one it was flooded and two the cat was all clogged up. So i got it towed to Mazda and they said i need a new cat and a new engine... they never really told me why i needed a new engine but they wanted 10 grand everything all said and done. I told them to go pound sand and i bought a motor off ebay and installed everything myself.

Well i have had my old motor in my garage for about 3 months now and i was going to tear it down and rebuild it and set it up for a turbo but i have run out of resources and i can never find the time to even start the project so i wanna get rid of it.

The motor itself has 111,000 on it... i bought it used with was said to be all high way miles and then i drove mostly city until i installed a new engine. It most likely needs rebuilt but other than that there are no damages to the motor.

The price im asking for is $700.00 plus shipping... for anyone whos interested pm me and we'll figure it out.

4 port auto or 6 port manual engine?

 

shortblock or longblock? 4 or 6 port?

 

oh wow my bad fellas its a shortblock and its a manual and the clutch will come with it

 

If work for me does well in the next 2-3 weeks I will try to get it from you. I'm stretched a bit thin after I splurged on a $1100 stereo install this month.

 

Can you see all the apex seals through spark plug hole when you turn the motor and seem to be intact? Did it have compression before you took it down?

 

yes it does have compression and it does crank.... to be completley honest i wish i had just replaced the catalytic converter and tried the motor again before replacing the entire motor because i replaced it entirely on the word of mazda... and for all i know they could have just wanted some money out of me.
