Pretty good review...this guy IS a car lover!
When all was said and done, the Mazda RX8 R3 spoke to me as a car lover. It is indeed a real driver’s machine and I seriously enjoyed driving the RX8 as much as a 911 Carrera. I might get more looks and nods with the Porsche, but the sheer enjoyment of canyon carving is equal when driving the Mazda RX8 R3.
"The lightweight, 1.3 liter engine (232 horsepower and 159 lbs feet of torque for manual transmissions…) is smaller than the Mini and Honda Fit’s engine. This type of power-plant creates a savage racing car."
"The Mazda RX8 exudes so much feel and allows amazing control that I was content without an over-baked engine."
Wow—he totally gets it! Nice.

good article, I was surprised this guy didnt bash the low torque and gas mileage like everyone else, he actually gave the low points of the car minimal attention and proceeded with positives.
This guy really liked the car lol.

I had recaros in an '88 Volkswagen, and they took some getting used to. Every time I got in the car, it was like someone was trying to squeeze the breath out of me, but after a few weeks, it was a very natural way to drive. They were the most comfortbale seats that I have ever driven. Funnily, I also have recaros in a 1967 Alfa Romeo and although they are a completely different kind of seat, the lumbar adjustment works the same as the 1988 VW recaros did. It was a perfect adjustment. Just the slightest angle change to seat back, and it was perfectly comfortable. After I sold the VW, I jonesed for those seats for literally years. I think that reviewers never get enough seat time to really settle into them.
