Talking Wanted: Header + Question

Are OBX headers any good for the RX8? I am trying to not go crazy on spending money.

which is better? or do you guys have any recommendations?

I am planning on getting a Greddy SP2 exhaust with a turboXS pipe.

anybody got a good header out there available?

the only good headers are in the $1000 vicinity

ie: knightsports, re amemiyam etc

everythying else is junk

although the Racing Beat one is supposedly going to be set at a decent price.

not sure how much or if its available as of yet.

There are several threads about OBX headers on the forum, and no one has complained about them, most everyone has actually been surprised at how good they were for the price.

There's a video on youtube of a guy making his glow on the dyno, and as far as I can gather he still has it on his car without any issues so.

I'm all for spending more money on something if it's worth it, but on the headers and even the OBX exhaust, I can't tell that OBX is that bad. Everyone on here that's bought either piece praises their welds, etc. and as far as I know OBX parts use the Knights Sports designs, just cheaper.

Question greddy sp2 and turboxs pipe might leak?!

Ok so I'm buying this set up from bunique which is the guy on this forum. If the pipe is gonna leak why would I want it. What pipes work with the greddy sp2 or se? Can you guys post links and will they have the o2 fouler so my CEL won't be on all the time? Also anyone on the forum got a decent midpipe that ain't to expensive they are willing to sell or trade for a turboxs pipe?

I may be wrong on this, but I believe he was talking about the possibility of the pipe leaking due to the fact that the TurboXS is made for the TurboXS exhaust. I know on their site they only sell them in a pair, and I believe it's due to the fact that they are non-standard bend/bolt pattern/gasket lineup and are produced to be mated together.

I know that the rx7store.net midpipes will work with a Greddy SP2.

Again I apologize if the above information is incorrect regarding the TurboXS, but from what I've seen and read that's what I've come to understand. If I am indeed wrong someone please correct me.

Post Racing Beat!

Go with Racing Beat instead, I have the RB midpipe with the GReddy Sp2 exhaust. It fits perfectly and it sounds amazing! plus the guys at racing beat are really cool and might hook you up with some free stuff.

Where are you getting these claims? Do you have ANY basis for anything? There are other options available for under 1K.
