I am looking for a decent/good exhaust system for my 2004 red RX8. Preferably dual tip and also the piping with a O2 sensor thing that wont make my check engine light come on. I know most exhaust systems comes with the pipe connected to the mufflers, but the midpipe is the one that most dont come with right? Thats where you can get more horsepower gain correcT?...I am looking for anything better than the stock exhaust, sounds good, and parts that will mix and match.

 

You can buy mine. Greddy sp2 with turbo xs midpipe.

yes all mid pipes will cause a CEL , so you might as well just deal with it or stay oem in that part.

accessport tuner will get rid of CEL.

 

sure with an accessport, but thats probably 700 dollars you dont have to spend.

You can get a high flow cat for like 3-400 that will keep the CEL off and give you some performance gain, but you will get more from the midpipe

 

as has been posted many times.. 04 has a chance to not throw a cel, 05 has less of a chance.. 06+ and you're going to be staring at a cel
