i dont know how you'd get it to cali unless you paid me to drive it or paid a delivery company. but my car is one of the lowest priced clear title cars on here. 12900. ~10k isn't impossible to find, but right now you'd be really limited to only the '04 cars and with higher mileage. there's a few on ebay and craigslist in socal listed for low teens that you can probably talk down to near 10 if you work hard enough. for '05+ at that price you'd either be looking at a branded title or your dad *selling* it to you. it's not impossible, just depends on your luck

Also keep in mind that even if you do find one under $10k, you'll still have to pay sales tax when you go to register it at the DMV, if I recall correctly. Kind of a pain in the ***.

Think about getting a 2004-2006 Prefer a 06 and above Rx8 IF IT AINT GOT A ROTOR AINT A MOTOR

but with $10000 I doubted you can get a decent rx8

plus if ur dad and grandpa own rotary toys they know it will be a expensive driving experiance and if you ask them I'm sure they will understand and help you out
