ok i'm getting ready to part with my hood now. here's the deal, i have a veilside carbon fiber D1GT hood that is smoked black and i want to trade it with another brillant black hood + $500. expensive you say? veilside wants $980 for the hood + about $300 to ship it. you are saving well over $500. i smoked the hood black so it would blend in better with the black paint and to also remove some slight yellow. this was done by kenny at east side collision and everyone who has seen it knows it is in great condition. you can still see the carbon finish but at a distance it looks like a black hood. if you are interested please let me know or if you have any questions let me know. i am in staten island ny and am willing to meet up somewhere to do the swap. i will drive a short distance but nothing crazy.

i cant really give to much detail about the fitment of the hood because frankly i dont know and heres why. i was involved in an front end accident and my body shop never properly straightened the frame so everything on my front end sits crooked. i'm sure on a perfect rx8 the fitment will be better then what i have.

ya shipping would be quite a pain, especially if we're trading, there is a chance that I might be close to your area in the spring if you still have it then.

lemme know! i added my aluminum strakes from rotary13b1 and waiting on my eyelids. i was going to buy a vis vented hood in 2 months, but this would definetely create some massive boners to people. Hit me up so we can arrange something...perhaps i might even take a look-see sometime soon.

btw, does anyone have brilliant black paint for my eyelids? I never bought eyelids, and i think they come unpainted....
