The car is an easy fix. It was hit in the passenger side but none of the air bags deployed and no engine or fault codes are present. Front bumper, passenger headlight, passenger fender, and passenger door with need to be replaced and painted to match. That is it. Radiator has a small leak, but I will include another one. One of ac lines also needs to be patched or replaced. Missing both sun visors. Everything works on the car. Engine starts right up and idles perfectly. I could not test on the freeway because of lack of tags, but no smoke or overheating. Car also has navigation system. Car will run and drive but will need to be towed because of state law on salvage vehicles. For 2000.00 or so of repair, you can have a 14k car.

you really think thats only 2k in repair? body pieces alone are over 4k... much less the interior needs a serious clean and a few pieces, probably both headlights, frame repair under the fender, new oil cooler... not to crap but dont mislead people that bad. I would buy it if i had all those parts...

 

I have a passenger door that I will include for free.
Driver headlight is fine! Oil cooler is fine! Frame is straight.
passenger headlight goes for 200.00 or so on ebay.
Fender runs 125.00 new.
front bumper goes for 200-300.00.

That adds up to 525.00 or so for parts.

Where do you get 4k?

well if you buy busted parts from ebay then sure its about 2k.... just think most people buying an rx8 do not wanna cheap out with questionable ebay parts. And definitely looks to me like frame damage on the fender...

looks like you need another side skirt to match, some door sills, bumper supports, undercarriage, fender liners, frame pieces, fenders are not 125... especially not new, oil cooler brackets are all bent, hood is damaged and scratched to hell, a complete passenger front door, complete passenger rear door,body work on the rocker panel. new rear quarter panel which is not a separate piece... if you can get all that for 525 then please buy a few sets for me so i can sell them. Thanks

Not hating on your thread i just dont think its right to misinform future owners that this car is easily fixable.

 

Well, I had a repitable body shop give me a quote of 1700.00 for the repair and complete repaint( that would include repairing even scratches on hood etc) if I supply the parts. Which I do have all of the parts needed except fender. His price from a body shop part supply was 125.00 for the fender.
Rear quarter and rear door are fine and can be repaired as body guy told me. If I need the front right apron, it will be 70.00 new from the dealer.

If I dont sell this car then I will just part it out. It is worth a lot more to me that way anyway.

I do appreciate the fact that you are just watching out the potential buyers here
