2006 Phantom Blue 6mt Sport for sale. I have been enjoying having the car over the summer, so maybe its a good thing that it hasnt sold yet

Lowered asking price to $14.9k OBO. This car now has 17k miles on it. I have a set of 18x9.5 45mm Enkei RPF1s installed as well, with General UHP 245/40/18 tires. Car still has balance of factory warranty.

I also have a set of Exel brand 18x8 wheels without tires, that will be included. These could be used for winter tires.

This is a 2006 sport, so you still get the important stuff like dsc, hid headlights, and the sports suspension. Plus it is much lighter than a GT with its leather seats and moonroof. I actually owned a 2005 gt, and traded it in for this. Im 6' 2" and the moonroof took up too much headroom in the GT, and i pretty much road around with my head touching the ceiling

Basically because of money. I have a second car, that Honda CRV AWD shown in a few of the pictures. So for one thing that RX8 will sit all winter anyway.

I have ran up a lot of money on credit cards for various things, and need to get those paid off. Having to pay 2 car payments, and 2 insurance bills just isnt helping me get the balance paid down on all of my debt. My plan is to buy another rx8, or rx9 in 2 or 3 years when im debt free. Just seem like the much more financially responsible thing to do.

 

I searched long and hard to find a used low-mileage Phantom Blue MT Sport without the hoaky rear spoiler. This is a good deal for the very best color RX-8.

BTW, smart move, BHW, good idea to get rid of cc debt, and who needs two car payments, insurance, etc, when you're trying to get rid of debt. I have a 3rd car, but we bought all 3 of our cars with cash. The only debt I consider acceptable is a mortgage and even that is problematic in the current housing market. I see a lightweight 2-seater RX-9 with a 16x in your future.

 

Bump. I'll lower the price a little to $16,900.

Remember, your getting a $1200+ set of Enkei RPF1 wheels along with a $500 extra set of wheels with this car.

Car now has low 14k miles on it.

Remember the SPORT trim is that fastest rx8 trim level, since it doesnt have the extra weight of the leather and sunroof Better power to weight ratio.

Mine also has 20k less miles, 18x9.5 Enkei RPF1 wheels, and a extra set of aftermarket wheels for winter tires! Just the two sets of wheels are worth at least $1500.

Personally i would like the nav, but i hated the leather and sunroof. I traded in a 05 GT for this one because the leather stuck to my body (100+ degree summers here), and the sunroof took to much headroom away. My head used to touch the roof in the old car. They build that sunroof down from the stock roof, so it takes 3 inches or so away from your headroom.

Though im still open to negotiation down from the $16.5k im asking.

 

your price is fine, I was just looking for a quick sale. If not for that, I would not have budged from my $16.5k asking price. Everyone here is a lowballer. Definitely try other places if you haven't already.

 

With the economy so bad im still having a hard time selling my 8. It now has 15k miles.

Im lowering my asking price to 15.9k.

I just checked carmax, and they are selling a few 2006 RX-8 in sport trim, with 15-20k miles for $16.9k. Mine comes with a set of 18x9.5 Enkei RPF1s and an extra set of Winter Wheels too.

 

I hate the fact that these cars are going so cheap.
