I need help on Veilside Hood

My car is in the body shop now and I'm very frustrated rather or not I should paint my hood. here are the options, leave it the way it is right now, Plain wave carbon fiber, man I love it the way it is , no wave distortion, perfect fit. Or, paint it and leave the small triangle area unpaint, but once I decide to paint it theres no going back.......so AHHHH what should I do, what will you do?

Usually I don't like the unpainted carbon hoods on cars.
but, you went through the extra work and spent more for the carbon hood. I guess you might as well leave it alone.

i had the same dilemma as you but mine was starting to yellow so i had to get that taken care of. i wanted it painted but i still wanted to see the carbon weave so i had my body shop basically smoke it black. so when you stand back from it it looks black and blends in with the rest of my car but when you get up to it you can see the carbon fiber. to me it was the best of both worlds. i can take some better pics of it over the weekend if you want

this is what I am doing I'll leave it unpaint and clear coat it.
And I'll paint the old one and put it back on.
so maybe I'll have the FRP hood on weekdays and the Carbon hood on weekends

snipaz2420 I know what you saying. It'll look really good if you smoke your hood cuz your car is black but it'll look wired cuz my car is gray. But the wave looks really good huh. just by looking at it you know it won't be cheap. theres a scion TC with a seibon carbon fiber hood in the shop the other day and compare to his twill wave with hella distortions here and there mine looks so much better.
