I'm on the South-Side Stockbridge, Jonesboro area. It's not going to be till Early 2004 I'll get mine! I hope to see some on the roads but not too many!

 

Anybody heard if the RX-8 will make the Atlanta Auto show. I am in Upstate SC. We have an auto show of sorts. Mostly just dealer cars and 1 or 2 new things from Ford or Chevy. I don't think Mazada has had any cars their in the last 2 years.

Can one of you guys call a local dealership and see what they know. I would like to see one if the flesh but I can't make it to any of the really big shows.

I think the X-MEN RX-8 will be in the Atlanta Auto Show in March.

I contacted a local Dealer about my order and they didn't seem to be in the know about the RX-8 other than the fact that the pre-sale was going on right now.

 

just received official word that the rx8 will be at the show.

 

can't wait for the show - hopefully they will have more info than my dealer who didn't even know about the pre-sale.

Does anyone here have any experience with Performance Mazda? They're on Hwy 78 in the Lilburn/Snellville area.

 

No, I have been dealing with Rick Case Mazda - Gwinnett.

 

I have used most everyone locally to work on my 3rd Gen, and most were absolutely worthless. I have never been to Performance Mazda so I can't comment on their quality. I do not recommend any dealerships. I do however highly recommend MazCare. They are located in Marietta and are great. Not only do they know rotaries, they are also extremely honest and very friendly. Of course, the dealerships are going to have to start training their mechanics again on rotaries now that they will be sold again so that might make a difference.

 

Thanks for the info Derek. Unfortunately I'm too far away from Marietta to use anyone up there. I'm only 2 miles from Performance Mazda though. I don't actually have a Mazda and haven't decided for sure on whether to order an RX-8, I'm just checking everything out. I've pretty much ruled out a Mini Cooper because with its poor initial quality and reliability record I'd need someplace close by to fix it (its back seat is too small too).

 

They have a Titanium Metallic RX-8 on display at the Atlanta auto show!!!! OMG! It's awesome. I told them that I did a pre-order so they let me sit in it. It's a must see - it's amazing!!!

Yes it's Titanium with the Chaparral interior, no NAV. The car looks great, made me wish I'd pre-ordered, especially since pre-orderers are apparently the only ones allowed to sit in it. The Chaparral leather is nice, more muted than it appears on the Mazda web site.

 

I had been waiting to go to the AJC Autoshow forever and I had to miss it because it was the same week I was out of town watching the Braves spring training in Orlando. Did anyone get any photos? I went to the webpage but the photo section requires a user name and password.

Man Haris, I totally screwed myself. My wife and I bought a piece of property and now I don't have my RX-8 money for another year. I put my pre-order in at Jim Ellis. Someone is going to love my car. You should go buy it and come visit me!!

 

I will be in the Columbus area with my Titanium Gray (loaded) RX-8 sometime in October.

 

Cumming / Alpharetta area in either a Yellow or a Titanium RX-8 6M sometime in the future. Well, hopefully. (see sig)
