Unhappy engine having hard time starting (dont know if its flooding)

I made sure i read around a little bit before i started creating a new topic... I own a 2004 Rx8 with about 70000 miles

My car was having an extremely hard time starting up today... I went to try starting it up and it would not start up for a long time had to crank it about 10-11 times and then i gave it some gas and it started up kinda scared me... As soon as i got to my destination my car died...

After about 1 hour i decided to drive my car towards the advance auto parts and to get the battery checked and then it died while it was idle at the red light... I was thinking it was the fuel pump can anyone advise?

Thank you in advance.

Search on the engine recall. Bring it to a dealer to have them check it out. It may need a new engine that will be covered under your Mazda extended powertrain warranty 6y 100K miles. Else it also may be your ignition coils. They are $30 x4 and an hour or two to replace.

Bring it to a dealer to check.

Might as well take it to the dealer.
Just wondering, this happened all of a sudden or progressively got worse? AT or MT? and where are you located? Have you done the recall?

Im assuming middle of nowhere is hot?
It's more common to see AT 8's with engine failures.
It's even more common to see AT 8's in HOT weather fail.
Was your battery okay when you got it checked? Could be a failing alternator
Also, check your coils as someone mentioned.
But really, you need to get it to a dealership. 04 + AT + Hot climates... yeah.
