TurboXS midpipe

Im thinking of buying TurboXS midpipe for my stock exhaust.
Has anyone had any problems with it? What do you guys think of the sound?

the turboxs midpipe is far larger than the stock areas, including the connecting points. The donut and gaskets are all far larger.

You can try it, but I'd recommend just buying the whole exhaust for $499 from turboxs.com instead. You get the exhaust and midpipe for that price. High quality steel and everything.

yep. my only complaint is that the tips arent long enough. :/ anyone know how much it would cost (roughly) to get them extended?

also, turboxs currently has the midpipe back ordered. and i believe i picked up their last rx8 exhaust, so thats currently back ordered too.

and... they have a shop located in gaithersburg, you can pick it up yourself and save yourself shipping.

they were back ordered when i ordered mine. it took about a month to get. sounds like they're now made to order.

the tips need to be extended 4"

I paid a local muffler shop $60 to cut off the old ones and weld in new ones. They sawed off the old ones, then tact welded the new ones on with the exhaust shrouds on, so it was positioned properly. Then removed the shrouds and welded them on all around while still on the car. The welds would have been cleaner off the vehicle, but the tips are 3" ID, so they are actually slipped on over the piping and don't need to be perfectly air tight.

The cost of the tips will depend on what you buy.
