Hey All,

I need to get some work done on my 05 RX-8 that I purchased Thursday. I am currently at Ft. Sam Houston and am wondering who you all recommend for body work. I have gotten an estimate for around $2000 at the dealer to $1100 at Alamo Body and Collision. Gonna need the rear trunk lid replaced and possibly the rear bumper cover.

On a second note, the previous owner must have been a rock magnet because there are a lot of chips in the paint. Are there any places around that do good chip repair, or is there anybody in the area who could help teach a new 2LT how to fix it himself (beer included of course ) They always say us LTs don't know anything, so I would be up for some teachin after I get back from my FTX this week.

I had my body work @ Slim's Body Shop on I-10W just before University Dr./RD./Whatveritis. They did a good job with the paint, but I don't know about the price, cause my visit was handled with USAA. BTW... Ft. Sam eh? Seen an '06 VR Sport around much? I work outta old BAMC most days...

they repaired my WB after some @#!! backed into it. Very professional and great work. They are off FM 78 behind Judson High School.
