So, I was sitting at the redlight waiting for it to change on a major highway and all of a sudden I hear the brakes lock up behind me and BOOM! Its 6000+ in damage and the lady who hit had been drinking but was barely under the legal limit...

 

I'm very sorry to hear that man. Were you hurt at all? Could have some pretty bad whiplash from that, she hit you pretty hard.

 

Yeah, my back still hurts and hit happened on the 27th....... I went to the doctors and everything but it still hurts so i might go back. Yeah, I'm really worried that the car wont be the same but the frame didnt bend.... So, I'm hopeful

 

wow nasty damage. good luck recovering. the frame didn't bend and the car can be fixed, but it may never be the same to you personally.

 

Mother Fu**er... I am so sick of drunk bas***ds thinking... "oh, I've only had 3 drinks, if I can walk to my car, I'll just drive it home" Fu**in bitches.

I also was hit by a drunk driver, but thank god not in my 8. Glad you're ok man.

Damn...sorry to hear that, but thank God you are ok. Same thing happened to my mother's car, except the driver wasn't drunk..he wasn't paying attention to the road . And both cars were not even 3 months old.

It sounds almost identical to what happened to me.. except it was undercarriage damage and it wasn't in my "8" (Mazda Millenia at the time).. As for your pain, those are your muscles tensing up... the docs will continue to give you pain killers and muscle relaxers to disguise the pain... I recommend a chiropractor...that's the true fix! The chiropractor can also determine if you have permanent damage...it's been 7 years and I still have muscle flair ups that cause me headaches! The insurance should cover that, take advantage!

I'd take some extra money from her....Glad to see your OK, though you're still feeling the pain.

 

Hopefully things came out ok with the docs. Hate to tell you this though...but your frame is bent. Even with a dark image like you have...there is more than likely frame behind your fender that will be replaced. You should be happy that it will end up on the frame table though...sometimes they come out better than they were originally. Good luck with everything and glad that you're ok.

Thanks everyone for your support..... yeah my back and neck has gotten progressively worse.... now im in a immense amount of discomfort; going to rehab tuesday.......

Good news however, the 8 should be fixed by later next week around thurs-fri... I'll post pics of the finished job.
