So I'm painting my basement yesterday and the doorbell rings.
I answer the door and there are three little kids standing there. They say, "someone just hit your car".
I grab my shoes and run outside, still clutching my paint roller, and see no damage at all. The children are explaining to me again that someone hit my car... with an apple.... a crab apple. Crap!
The kids were going on about what a cool car it is and how sorry they were that it got hit... cute kids...

somebody (not kids) did that to me just days after i bought mine. even though they were joking, i still had a few choice words to say.

Thats when you go bribe the kids. Pay them to watch you car. If anyone so much as even farts next to it, the kids will let you know. Child labour isn't all that bad is it?

Last September, a similar thing happened to me, only I wasn't painting. I was sleeping.


And the crab apple was actually a large school bus.

 

Same thing happened to me back in 2004 except I was parked in front of the house that I was teaching a youth Bible study at for the weekend and there neighbor across the street was backing out of his driveway and nailed my 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix. He hit it from the door all the way back on the rear quarter panel and the rear wheel. Insurance totalled it and gave me like $3000 or so. I was quite upset as it was paid for, but it allowed me to get my dream car a Vehicross, and then get the RX8 as a weekend car a few years later. But I was in the middle of a Bible lesson with a bunch of teenagers when an old man smoking a cigaret comes to the door and says, "uh which one of you drives that red car out ther?" I said "I do", then he says, "well you might wanna come look at it I just hit you". Great.

 

Very smart idea. I try to be very cool to my neighbors for the same reason. It is always good to have as many people as possible to look out after your stuff.

At least the guy stood up and reported it to you. A lot of people won't take responsibility for their mistakes.

LOL!. Crab Apples.....reminds me of me back when i was 9 , took a bunch of those with friends and started nailing cars driving by on the local streets.... and then we eventually got caught bc of the FAT KID for not running fast enough....lol
