looks like you'll be needing both door skins and an entire re-paint of the driver side..3k seems about right..

Sucks. At least it looks like they managed to miss the freshly done body kit.

Also had body shop remove racing stripes ( Looks a lot Cleaner)

damn that blows dude. at least its getting paid for. i'd look for a parts car though.

someone took out my rear bumper and exhaust 2 weeks ago. geico paid me $1300, i bought a used bumper for $300 (good condition) and then bought a turbo xs exhaust for $500.

It cost me just a little more than that to fix my rear driver quarter panel a little over a year ago. The thread's around here somewhere. Good luck with it though. Sorry it happened.

so i went by the other places tonight when i got off work at 6 and they were both closed. ill go back tomorrow. and see what they say. im pretty sure i need a complete new drivers door because the lock system is pretty effed up. ive got to open the door then press the lock button on the door panel then shut my door just for it to stay closed.

you might want to contact mazdamart. they are in our vendors section..

https://www.rx8club.com/mazmart-88/

i bet a door and a rear door used would be a lot less than a body shop. and match better also.. remove replace and swap a lock..

beers

Did you check out how much the front and back doors cost? I found it cheaper to replace and paint them. And its new.. I had front fenders fixed like so! just paintwork for the body shop!

If there is no structural damage to your doors then get them fixed so the car remains original. I do not recall if the RX-8 has stickers on the bodywork to show it is original to the car like many of the other manufacturers.

Good luck on getting it fixed.

ouch, sorry to hear. sounds a bit pricey but the paintwork is what is running up the bill.

hopefully she'll come back as good as new
