RadarReviews.net Laser Jammer/Radar Detector Test - Houston 9/28/08

Originally posted on another Mazda forum

Hello,

Just thought I would throw an invite out to the members on here. I will be holding an upcoming laser jammer/radar detector test in Houston on September 28th. We are going to have just about every radar detector out there, plus just about every brand laser jammer out there.

We will have 4 different laser guns to use and the stalker ka radar gun for radar detection. This will be a fun test and tune day, and also give you the chance to see how everything works and a chance to use the laser gun to see what cops see when targeting your vehicle. Also its a great chance to modify your laser jammer/radar setup to be 100% optimized to see where the weak points are on the car. This is completly free and open to the public, great chance to learn.

Can view more details if interested in attending at:

I know it use to shut off the speed traps trailors that would show what your speed limit is. Now adays when i go through there it relly doesnt cut it off anymore. But it did for about the first year and maybe a lil over of having it. Something must worn out on the inside.

When it did work I had a cop pull out infront of me on time and he put the radar on. About 6 blocks and a couple of red lights later he made a uturn and went back to the station like he was gonna go get something checked out hehe. I notice a local parish cop pulled over one time, i pulled up behind him to ask him something, and on his radar it had "CD" on it. i think that this might mean "Cant Detect" I read somewhere that it doesnt really cut off the newer radars but it can the older ones, and around here Louisiana still uses the older one. One more time on I-20 i was doin about 85 and the speed limit is 70, There was a trooper hidden behind a overpass, The radar first went off then he notices me and aimed the gun at the car, tilted his head, dropped the gun, looked down at the gun, then aimed it at the rig comming up behind. lol
