What exhaust do you think?

I am stuck between these four exhaust systems borla, greddy sp2, magnaflow and hks legamax. I need your help. Yes I searched. I looked through this site and the rx8web.com site as will. Yes I also looked through all the youtube videos on these systems. Whitch one do you have or would you pick. I also dont want a system where I will get pulled over or get a ticket for. I had a tanabe system with a high flow cat and headers on my old car and I ended up with a $225 ticket. I dont want that crap. Thanks.

any exhaust system will run you the risk of a fix-it ticket, make no mistake

the borla sounds good, the greddy sounds ricish, the magnaflow is retarded and loud, the hks is pretty decent

I have a modified TRIPPLE resonated Turbo-XS exhaust system

now that's the real ****

I have the Borla and I love it! So that is what I voted for...It's got a very nice, deep tone down low, does not drone at highway speeds, and does not get too loud when you get on it.

It would help if you gave us some direction, like the order of importance for sound, quality, and price.

HKS legamax if you like it throaty. You definitely hear it when it starts punching.

Borla if you want a deep tone. Very nice low rumble.

Yes the strait pipe is out of the question. I am leading more to buying the borla. Price: under $1100. Sound: deep tone and low rumble. Quality: the best. Anyway i like the finish of the mufflers of the greddy and hks. The finish on the borla is kinda like a rusty color. Will thanks for the help. I will be ordering the system Saturday.

i'm absolutely in love with the fujitsubo legalis R unit. it pulls it off like a stock unit just fine. its just as quiet as the stock unit until you open it up! its very well dampened like other stock units... think of G35. but not too deep toned. not sure if its available stateside yet...

other than that, i also second a racing beat rev8 exhaust being a nicely priced unit thats not too loud or throaty.

greddy is...decent. a good product picked up used...

others, i don't really have any opinions on being i haven't seen too many others in person.

Check out the Autoexe Exhaust. That one sounds amazing IMHO. I almost got it, but was short on money at the time. I have the Borla now and really like it, but still kinda wish I had gotten the Autoexe.

+ 1 Racing Beat catback... the sound is great. Approximately 20% louder... a nice low rumble at very low idle / parking lot speeds... very stock sound at mid-range... noticeably deeper and more aggressive in higher RPMs. After I add a highflow cat I imagine the sound will be perfect.

Drill holes in the exhaust , damn bastard. If you heard it on youtube , and know you dont want a loud one , then get a racing beat. Shouldn't you already know the answer?
