Check out the autopower 4pt roll bar if you want a proper mount for the harness.

You can put any seat in the car, as long as the size itself fits...

The bracket is what you gotta worry about. You can buy the universal brackets and get creative on getting them to fit.... or you can see if they make a vehicle specific bracket for the 8.

Also, as far as the harness goes. Tilt is right, a proper mounted harness will be mounted to a bar... I think at least at waist or shoulder high... I can't remember, but not to the floor.

unless your running 10's at the track i would not put a roll bar in your 8. maybe its just me but i laugh when people do that, i would get creative and find another way to mount the harness. but than again i have a lot of stupid personal thoughts and this is probably just another one. ha ha. but the seats do look nice in the 8

If you have seats and want to run harnesses, you need a roll bar/cage. If I see someone running harnesses w/o it makes me laugh. Roll bars/cages can offer amazing protection if used properly, why laugh?

Lol, at least you do mention its your opinion rather than preach what is good/bad. For that you get a

okay so i need to clear my name cause that post didnt come out the way it was suppose to. what i meant to say is if your gonna put a roll bar in your car make sure you do it right, while i have never really seen the meaning of putting a roll bar in your car unless you are running low 10's or its just for show. i just love it when you pass little civics or now i think the new one i have seen most recently was a cobalt that had done what looked like a roll bar made from plumbing tubing. what i meant by my post was if your gonna do it do it right, dont half *** it. sorry for the confusion.

i agree. i think if youre gonna do it, your car has to be ***** to the wall fast to the point where you actually benefit from it. in other words, the stock 8 does not really need a cage

Neither do they need a proper race seat/harness setup. I would assume that doing so would call for such application of the vehicle.

Though perhaps a moot point, it was a simple bar rather than cage of discussion.

OP - beware, the bar may interfere with the airbag function and can crack a skull if hit (even with the padding). You will lose (proper) use of your rear seats even with the center (removable) harness bar removed -

Yah, Perks I get what you mean too, forgot to mention that in my post.

Forgot to mention, you can also mickey mouse a connection with the rear child saftey seat harness point as many autoxers do however this will not provide adequate strength for a higher speed crash. Seats alone with stock belt would work well though (asside from removing side airbags)
