The Good, and the Bad
The Good, and the Bad
I went to a wedding this past weekend, with my wife and a friend of ours. He was ok with sitting in the back seat, because frankly, he was just happy to be in my 8.
We come out of the church, and as I approach my baby, there's a dimple the size of a quarter in the driver's door. Mother*$^%@. I couldn't believe it: my 8 has been to a commuter parking lot every day for the past 6 months, the parking lots of Walmart, Target, etc, and it remained clean all this time. And then I get it in the church parking lot. WTF?
I get over it (somewhat) and move on to the reception, which is valet. I eyeball the odometer, just in case. At the end of the evening, there's a big crowd waiting for their cars. A few Lexus' and Mercedes get retrieved, a Vette, a 350Z, etc. Then my car pulls up. I hear an "ooh" or two, but louder comments when my buddy opens the back door.
The valet guy gets out, and in front of everyone says: "Gorgeous car, man. Really."
I forgot about the dimple for a few hours.
