Effect of smaller wheels on handling? In comparison to shorter springs

A lower cog will improve handling, but what is the best way to achieve it? Lowering through shorter springs can throw off your suspension geometry and increase the roll couple, which can negate the benefit of a lower cog. Lowering through smaller wheels doesn't have any geometrical disadvantages and the wheels and tires are cheaper. What would the disadvantages be of running smaller wheels though?

well if you have the MT, then you have the issue of limited wheel sizes... dont believe you can go below 17 because of brakes. You also dont want to go with thinner because then you have less grip. Past that, I couldnt tell you....
