2009 tail lights
Does anyone know if the 2009 RX8 tail lights will fit the older models? I know they're redesigned but they look the same shape. I think they look sick, and want to put them on mine if I can...

There is a difference between the two because the bumpers are not the same,,, pretty much they'll look like thier sticking out of your car,,,probably will require some custom fabbing ----there is a pic in the Super Autobacs thread post 1680 of what it would look like retrofitted on a VR...

I have them. They won't work at all. They are very different in their mounting points and gasket surface. They would be great if someone wrecked and changed the whole rear clip.
Sorry for the bad news.

Yea I'm gonna have to agree with you guys to be honest. I think I just liked them because it was something different. But after looking at them a while, I hate them
Should've kept the same style.
What do you guys think about the headlights? I think they did alright with them.

I think its sad that the headlights went in the direction they did,,, they are way too blinged out for me,,, again Japanese manufacturers need to stay away from the American Domestic blingyness and get back to the cleaniness in design that was established in the late 90s-early 2000s. Overall Im glad that I have the first gen in every aspect it harkens back to the clean and sleak design of the FDs and I think is an evolution of the RX brand rather than the other design language of the current Mazda family, the new gens just look like a car version of the CX7 and CX9...just my opinion...

well i like them and dont like them its just one of those things. i wouldnt mind putting them on my car if that sat a little more flush. they stick out way too much on the bottom for my liking. i was thinking about just making myself a set of rotary rasp tail lights and calling it a day.
