Can you help?

My rear brake discs and drums are gone all rusty. There is a a section on the disc that is not rusty (obviously where the break pad presses against it)

I hear you can bring your car into specialists to get them cleaned up BUT surely there is a way that i can clean them up myself if i pop the wheels off. Has anyone got any suggestions?

thanks in advance

Search "painted calipers" and you should be all set. Many of the threads discuss painting calipers and hubs (which is what you are describing). You can do it yourself like many here have or pay someone to do it.
