Tire NO squeal and tire NOW squeal?
Confused? I luvved the Dunlop SP Sport 8090's on my '06. Why? No matter what I did they NEVER squealed and therefore no tickets.
So, since I figured that a GREAT perk, I bought a new set at 28K without considering other makes.
The trouble? If you get aggressive while turning or taking off, these new ones SQUEAL! Errr!
I emailed Dunlop/Goodyear and they stated that no changes have occured in the 8090 model tire. No rubber change. Nothing.
WHAT GIVES?

If they are really new, new. It takes hundreds of miles to wear off all of the manufacturing resist from the outside of the new tire. It could be that. If you have run them over 800 miles, beats me.

Even though they have the same model number, the OEM tire and the replacement model tire are rarely the same. The OEM is made cheaper as to cost the car manufacturer less.
That was all I was trying to say. If you have run them around enough, then I don't know why the two tires would act differently.
