Hope everyone had a good 4th of July weekend. Once again, it's time to head out to BJ's this Thursday.


Details in case you haven't been or if your mind is just a little foggy... BJ's in Addison at 7:30pm this Thursday. They are located just west of the Tollway on Beltline (Google Street view), on the north side of the road. Several of us tend to park way down the east side of the building... just look for the exclusive RX-8 parking lot (by the brown object in the background of this shot).

If you're planning on coming out, please post accordingly and I will make reservations.

I will make it out(matt), i'm selling the 8 so might be my last meet with an 8 for a while. On a side note, the meguires 3 step detailing process produces amazinig rusults. Your arms will feal like noodles before step 3 though.

 

And you'll have to do a load of laundry before step three so the noodle feelin REALLY sets in-takes a lot of towels, though! But yeah, can't wait to get my car off the street and wax it up, my poor baby...

I'll keep you posted, if I have my 8 running again by Thursday, should be there!

So still no alternator, was supposed to be in yesterday at three but no. Lame. So hoping to get it today and get off work early and get it back together. So it's looking like it'll be a maybe until the last minute, sorry guys! Claire will always tag along with me, though, so future reference, since I always forget to mention that...we are attached at the hip.

 

So will she drive if you can't get your ride goin? We won't laugh (too hard) at the 6. It is a Mazda after all.

Ha, well if anything laugh at me driving the 8 because her car beats mine in a race (unless we're already goin 70, then she's got no chance). Plus her car is pretty pimp, you gotta admit. Were you not there for the RX7 cruise she destroyed everyone on? Lol, I had to tell her to slow down cause she was in front and we didn't know where we were goin!! She earned mad respect that night.

Anyway to answer your question, she'll drive us, yes...but no way will she be able to get me in the car if my baby isn't runnin yet! I'll be under the hood all night

Creto, LOVE the shift boot man, very sharp. Sorry again for makin the meal take FOREVER last night, it's my fault for being late but for real, just glad I was able to make it!!

 

I think the length of time for the meal had a lot to do with our waiter's annoying gift of gab. "I'd like xxxxxx."... "oh, let me tell you a story about this customer that ordered that blahblahblahblah"

And we all know the real reason why you were glad to make it... it had to do with those sliders and it's white and fit convienently in the to-go bag...

 

Hey, hey, that was just a bonus. The real reason I was glad I could make it was because it meant my car was running again!! After a week on the street it's crazy how much your mindset changes on the "expensive gas guzzler"...it suddenly becomes "the most beautiful thing I"ve ever seen, truly a pleasure to drive." Lol, it slept in my bed with me last night for cryin' out loud!!
