Sounds like you have a bad shock.

Check page 26. This is where I got all my info when I did it...I'm not takin credit for it.

That's the bump stop. You'll need to cut it a bit so that you're not riding on it with the lowered setup

if you haven't compressed it a lot, keep compressing it. be sure your assembly is right.

pm'ed you. Gist of it: racing beat suggested cutting down by 1.75 inches, but they have less of a drop than the tanabes so I'm not sure. There's not much more to cut after that...

I don't have a scanner, but this pic should do the trick.

Hope your install went well. I didn't have to use the spring compressor at all for the rear. Hmmm...

Well, post some pics now. Lets see! What type of shocks are you using?

Got a question along these lines. I put eibach springs on my car about 4 years ago, noticed lately I been hitting the bump stop pretty hard, took apart my rear end and my driver rear bump stop is shreaded....Anyone know why this happened? Did I hit a hard bump? Also anyone know where I can get a replacement?

are you still on the stock shocks with the lowering springs? I remember reading somewhere that the OEM shocks will eventually fail if mated with lowering spring. It is probably a good idea to replace the shocks with some aftermarket ones that can handle the lower ride of the eibach springs. Better yet, you could get some coilovers...that is likely to route I'm going to go in a little bit.

Good luck
