I know the rivalry between rx8's srt-4's and 350z's but cant we all get along!

 

Since when has the rx8 had a rivalry with the srt-4?

eh i dont know, i always see people on here flaming back and forth with the srt. I just dont think they get along very well.

 

Cool pic. Is nice to see a bit of variety. All have their qualities. Is kind of cool how they are lined up. To the left, raw straight line domestic grunt, to the right, a smooth beauty that handles like a dream, and in the middle, a bit of both

from what I can tell, srt-4 people don't get along with anyone.

 

srt-4s are full of fail. so are the wannabe ricer drivers.

i beat a srt-4 in a drag race (yes at a strip.) so much for the turbo, it was still a box full of fail.

 

While I can't speak for everyone, I've found a couple major stereotypes with both rides.

SRT owners will race anything and everything. I've seen them pick fights with all kinds of cars. Secondly, they seem to think dodge invented the blow-off valve. I've even heard SRT-4 owners say "Yeah man, I revved my motor so he could hear the blow-off valve."

You have a factory OEM turbocharger...whoop de do! We all know what a BOV sounds like.

350z owners I've found tend to be the biggest "What if, or I could do X" people I've met. I'll be talking to a 350z owner and they launch into a mess of talk about how they could do this upgrade, that upgrade and a turbo and WHAMO they have 1,000 WHP.

Right, call me when you get those things. There's a huge 350z club in Phoenix and 90% of them are stock or have wheels and exhaust only. For all the talking they don't have much of anything.

Likewise, I've known a couple SRT-4 owners with very nice sounding and clean vehicles, and I've known 350z owners that have tasteful mods and good power gains. There are exceptions to every rule.

Can we get along? Sure! Just stop hitting your BOV every 5 seconds and talk to me about your WHP when you have those mods you talk about and we'll get along fine.

^^^LOL.... It's so true about SRT owners race everything and anything..... I have had like .......I don't even remember......but....maybe like atleast 6 or 7 times in last two years.....Dodge Neons and SRTs trying to tail me like crazy.....usually on free-way..... 350z guys usually stay in next line and try to pass me instead of tailing me...lol :D I guess 350z peeps don't like being in behind....

 

I used to own an SRT-4 and I loved those cars. Its like Mighty Mouse or something. I only owned it for 10 months before I traded it in to get my current 8. I have nothing bad to really say about it. Its what got me into car in the first place. Before it, I knew where the gas went, the key went and where the brake and gas peddle were. Its more of a sleeper. Its not nearly as flashy but its fun as hell! The 350 on the other hand. I know way too many people who own them. Its like the second coming of Christ for them. And one of those people has to be my very own mother.

 

this is a funny thread within the past week i have had atleast 3 SRT-4 tail me and try to race me...here's the funny part...through the middle of a college campus while classes are in session. i mean are you serious? each time im cruising at about 20 MPH and then all the sudden there is an SRT-4 on my rear bumper. as for the 350Z i've never really had a problem with them. most of the 350Z around Mizzou are not students who still believe the misconception that they are invincible behind the wheel of a sports car.
