Pics of my RX8 (Almost Done)

Hey guys I am new to the forums here and to the RX8 world and just wanted to show you some pics of the car. I got it in a pretty sad state and proceeded to pretty much redo the entire car. I swapped out the front bumper and headlights, new springs and shocks all the way around, new brake rotors, new wheels and tires, made the bumper and skirts fit, fixed a ton of dents and then this is what we have now!

I am not done yet though...Coming soon comes some porting, headers, flywheel and I might swap the wheels out for something a bit more radical. At any rate I will keep you all posted!

Hope you like!

Thanks guys for the props. It has a replica Speed bumper on the front and it fit like *(@*&. I ditched it for the stock setup. If anything I will get the FEED bumper or just the more aggressive lip on it. As for the clears it had them on and they didnt fit well either. I went to stock and love them. I will keep you posted on the wheels. Dont know yet but will decide next month once I get performance where it needs to be...

I think it looks pretty sexy man, has a very aggressive look to it. Do you still have the stock exhaust? If so, i would get one with bigger tips... Maybe Borla or Racing Beat. To make your car sound better, and fill in the holes in the back a bit better.

Thanks guys for the props. Yeah the skirts and the bumper are replica Mazdaspeed. They were on the car when I bought them. One of these days I might go authentic but we will see. I got them to work pretty well after a pretty good battle.

The wheels I brought in a set of 3 complete sets from an importer. I operate a fab shop just outside of SLC, utah and we thought about bringing them in. I think they turned out ok but my favorite wheels are the ones we put on a mustang we did last year. Check them out here...MRR makes them. We might still bring ina few more sets to see if there is any interest. We had them powdercoated locally after we got them.

I am dying to see a set of these on an 8.

Here are some more...Yeah I totally love the MRR wheels.

My brother owned my car before I bought it and he actually ran those wheels from the Mustang for a few weeks before I needed them back. Here are some crappy pics of a not finished 8 but enough to get an idea of what they would look like on a finished one w/a nice Mazdaspeed body kit.

One last time, I don't want to jack your thread, but those wheels got me going for a bit. Here's wheels with custom paint... I think with MS front would look killer. Sorry again to go off in a different direction.

^That car not only has custom paint, but it has a new headlight mod that allows you to wink at people.

What size are those wheels and tires? I have a stock suspension and my rear wheels have almost no gap. Maybe you are just parked on uneven pavement. The sideskirts definitely don't line up with the bottom of the door. You might have to look into filling/molding that sometime.
