go to an autobody parts store and get a rattlecan of trim black. Will match perfectly. Should have instructions on the can.

Even a can of semi-gloss black spray paint intended for BBQ pits will work, available at hardware stores.

On my Expedition, I sanded and primed my trailer hitch assembly, gave it about 3 coats of BBQ paint, it still looks good 12 months later.

I spray painted mine white, took off the driver's side one, and rotated the passenger side one to about 90°.

No, I'm just joking... good job.

This looks really nice... I have a can of black gloss collecting dust. I might as well use it on the wipers.

I was going to paint my calipers black and figured if i had any left over i would just brush it on these also. Any thoughts? If it can last on a caliper, it should last forever on a wiper assembly.

If you buy new wiper blades, the packaging gives an illustration of how to take the assemblage off.

But basically, it is raise the arm up...........press a screwdriver to a tab where the blade assembly meets the arm........pull down on the blade assembly.

Voila.

You can't see it with the blade assembly on, but the arm ends in a 3/4 inch "U".....the blade assembly slides in that "U" and locks with that tab.

Or did you mean the entire arm?

If you are asking how to take off the entire arm........I dunno......but on my Expedition I can pry off a plastic cap where the arm meets the car body, and there is a bolt that secures the arm.

Meant the entire arm, so i could spray paint as in post #8. I tried the caliper paint today, brushing on while still assembled (I was switching out wiper blades anyway), but it looks like butt. So now ive got to remove the arm anyway and recoat the assembly. or just buy a new one... whatever that would run me.

If anyone knows how to take the entire arm off.. pls post here or PM me... otherwise ill post what i figure out when i get fed up and go for it anyway.

The wiper arm is held on by a nut i believe. The pivot end of the wipe arm should pop off and reveal the nut.

u got it backwards. i had extra caliper paint and tried to brush it on the wipers. didnt go smoothly as i wanted so i wetsanded it off. i was putting in new blades so i figured why not try it. ill try taking em off tonight and painting them over the next few days. I just rainx'd my windshield so i can drive around without them for a few days probably.
