Any good reason not to go with cheap HID bulbs?

I know basically nothing about different companies that make HID bulbs, except that I've heard of a few prominent companies like PIAA and such. I'd like to buy a set of 6000k-6500k bulbs to replace my OEM HID bulbs (which I understand are 4300K)

Ebay and some other website turned up a bunch of them that are like $35-$40 shipped.....which sounds almost too good/cheap to be true.
For example

Can I expect any problems if I go for these over ones that easily retail for twice that price? Is it possible they will be not as bright? Blow out?

Any advice would be helpful....thanks.

i bought some 8000K bulbs off ebay for about $65. they've worked fine so far. just check the feedback on the seller and you should be fine. and be sure not to touch the glass part of the bulbs.

Cheap HID bulbs will probably burn out at about the same rate as halogen bulbs, so if you're only paying $30 that's not too bad. If you do spend more and get a Philips OEM quality bulb, it will last many years, perhaps the life of the vehicle.

price of bulb usually equates to lifespan. Cheaper bulbs can also be off color and not match perfectly.
