Help! Need help ASAP! Need to prove dealership wrong. I didn't void warranty!!

I have a '04 RX8. I have been getting huge power losses and the car basically dies alot after running for awhile. I am actually at the dealership now. Can someone provide me links or information to the part where aftermarket parts DO NOT void warranty.

All I have performance wise is a Racing Beat Intake and Racing Beat Exhaust.

This dealership (which every single rx8 owner around here hates) said they will not operate on my car at all. I am trying to get in on the Engine Recall (compression issues, coils, apex seals) that my car is available to get.

Please please please help me. Need this ASAP!!!

It doesn't work thjat way... go to a different dealer before they take pictures.

The Magnusson-Moss Warranty act only works in COURT, after you have PAID for the repair at FULL-PRICE at a DEALERSHIP. Then, you hire a lawyer, at your expense and HOPE that the dealer can't prove that your mod affected the engine.

Good luck.

The dealership also has every right to refuse to work on your car. Saying that your warranty is void is very different from saying they won't work on your car. If they try to void your warranty you have a case - but like revv said, it's a court case after the fact. If they flat out refuse to work on it there's nothing you can do about it.

or be like oh well how does an intake void my warranty? orly the air caused the dmg?

or how did the exhaust void my warranty? orly the fumes exiting the rear damaged my engine?

Ask them to either do the tests or foot the bill to tow the car to a dealership that will. A call to MANO may be in order as well, but it could backfire on you if they deny your claim. make sure you talk to the MANO rep, not let the service manager "talk to them".

Or suck it up and pay for the tests. When the engine is found to be bad and you get a new one under warranty, you can go about getting a refund on the diagnostics.

Both those mods cannot void a warranty according to my service rep. (I work at a mazda store)

That could easily backfire... oNce a regional Rep's mind is made up, you gotta go to court. It's FASR EASIER to ttake it elsewhere... If it gets denied elsewhere, you may have to foot the bill, then put the burden of proof on them with a lawsuit...
