Installed RX8stakes rear light accent

Got it in the mail today, took the 10 mins needed to install it.

Instructions are very straight forward and should not be a problem for anyone.

Pros: Easy to install
Reflective back mount for LED should give some nice light output
Inexpensive

Cons: It's a pure DIY feel to it.

I'm happy with how it looks atm, i'll try to get a shot tonight when it's dark

Is it textured or is there a difuse sticker that's placed on the lense? I was a little unclear about that from the description on their site. Looks good by the way. Do you have it wired as a 3rd taillight or 4th brake light?

there's a diffuser sticker that is applied to the interior of the lens. I wired it up as a 3rd taillight.. i think 4 brake lights is a bit of an overkill

Thanks for posting this, I was really looking into one.

So, have you made it so that the original 3rd brake light doesn't illuminate now, but the new rear wankel light does?

Can anyone here compare this to the other rear foglights / brake lights available in terms of appearance and quality?

Not bad... but so far no aftermarket light beats the derwankel rotary lamp. That one looks so much OEM, nobody could tell it isn't from Mazda.
It's a real shame he had to give up making parts - his stuff was top-notch, including the puddle lights too.
