Angry Autobahn Shine Bumper Smashed Only On For Two Weeks : (

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...76#post2483776

So here's what happen :'( to my newly installed autobahn bumper.

at night

I was parked at work in a private lot right in front of a garage door a car length behind of course an SUV that wasn't suppose to be parked where it was.

My girl friend was in the office and saw out the window the guy going in the SUV yelling to me "John the guys moving his car!"

I immediately ran and swung open the garage door to witness my autobahn bumper be flexed upward about a foot in the air. : ( and my car get assaulted by a ******* SUV

Damage done to the SUV = NOTHING
Damage done to the 8 = probably over $2,000
- Light fixtures the seals broke and the insides got messed up
- Clear Corner messed up
- Totally New Bumper needed because the shine autobahn got cracked
- And more haven't got it assessed yet

Hopefully I'll have my car fixed up in a week, Everything covered by his insurance.

Pictures are bad because I took them from my phone, the damage looks a lot worse in person.

I know the exact feeling, and pretty much got the same damage on my front.
Some of the shittiest things to happen. Haha, atleast yours didnt get messed up by a raccoon(which probably didnt even get hurt) and a mischievous curb.
But yeah I feel your pain and also am sitting on the bench with you.

Sorry to hear that man. Luckily, my kit's been holding up pretty well besides the constant scrapping...

and if any of you are interested, get some of that spray liner you get for the back of a pickup truck. Its a rubber spray paint. Paint a couple layers on the bottom of your bumper. You'll protect yourself from those nasty scrapes, it can always be taken off and put back on. Save your bumper.

Yes its from a Canadian store, but I'm sure you'll find the same thing.

http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/pr...romSearch=true

and if the link doesn't work... EZ Liner Aerosol Coating

Its basically spray paint with a high level of rubber in in. Spray it in the box of a truck to protect it from scratches, tears and all that fun stuff.

Sorry to hear, at least you caught the guy and got his info. Someone hit and run my Vertex lang rear and the f*cker didn't leave a note. I saw the PM you sent me about the pics of the stock front bumper with no emblem, did you still want to see them? Sounds like the insurance company is gonna replace your Autobahn bumper.
