Need advice...please comment

i love my rx8 but one of the things i do not like is the stock front bumper, i read an edmunds article saying that the frunt bumper looks like an alien sucking on a lemon and i cant get that out of my mind now. here are some things i found on ebay, can anyone personally reccomend either or give it a no go?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-07...1V#ht_2910wt_0

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...3756.m20.l1116

the prices are resonable and i can have my body shop paint and apply rather cheaply. please advise i dont want to throw away money

I think you get what you pay for and that is very cheap.

I would recommend you check out some of the vendors on our vendor forum. they have some quality products and you can get feedback from people on this forum that have purchased from them.

I would be concerned about fittment. Even the best body kits require adjustment and sanding to get the fittment right. I would assume that you'll have to do a lot of that. And fiberglass noses tend to crack easily if you curb it. Shine Auto has a Flexible Resin kit that can take a beating and not crack. The Mazdaspeed nose is $1200 but that is painted and ready to put on your car. In most instances that's about what you'll pay when all is said and done on an aftermarket nose.

I don't know I've heard bad things about those ebay kits; very flimsy material and fitment sucks. Save your money and go with the Mazdaspeed, you won't be disappointed

Fitment on replica's is a bitch! Get the real thing and save your money and the hassle. In the end, the replica will still lack in quality compared to the real one.

When the part you want costs $1500 and the part you're buying costs $150 Something is wrong with the part you are buying.

Just my 2 cents.
