That is definately not normal. In fact, it's about a third less than you should be getting. Take it to a reputable dealership and have them check it out. If there happens to be something wrong, it should be covered.

I only have 23000km and it's impossible that someone is siphoning my gas it's always in my garage.

sorry i was just being a smart @$$...

but let's go over the most obvious (people here have made these mistakes before so don't feel offended).

1. Are you sure it's set to kms and not miles?
2. Do you fill up the entire tank (or close to it) after driving only 200kms?

Yes it's set to kms and I always fill it to the top. I did not mention that this was all city driving. Do you think that's it. The dealer seems to think this is the problem. I find that hard to believe.

For the longest time I have been getting consistently about 250km(in 100% city) to a 50 liter fill......that works out to just under 12 MPG.....the lowest that i think i got was about 200 and that was when i was letting it warm up to normal temp before driving it (big mistake). While this was going on i took it on a road trip and got about 21 mpg on all highway. My car has about 55,000 km on it and just this week i got new spark plugs put in and after that i jumped up to about 16-17MPG with mostly city.

I have only put one tank in since the new spark plugs. I will report back once i put another tank through, probably won't be that long though

on the track i got 160km out of a tank. i usally average 11.5L/100km which is over 400km a tank. do you warm your car up by letting it sit and idle if so that could be the problem.

replace your O2 sensor. There is a HUGE difference between driving in open loop and closed loop.

The Access Port from MM will cure the pig rich conditions and you will get 2-3 more MPG

I have put another tank through my car since i replaced the spark plugs and i made 310 km on the tank with similar city driving. This works out to about 15 to 16 MPG which is more acceptable than 10-12 in the city. I would suggest that if your car is over 50,000 to get the plugs changed out if poor gas mileage continues(or at least get them checked).
