lugs?

looking at getting some CE28Ns and wanting to get colored lugs... what should I look for? Anything special? Just making sure in advance, dont need a wheel coming off a mile down the road.

edit: forgot to mention I'd be looking for wheel lock/lug...

just remember that anodized lugs dont really look the way that they do online and that painted ones lose their paint ridiculously easy. red anodized lugs almost always look pink

thanks for the tip... was thinking either red or black... but if it comes down to not having options that would look nice with those, then a good chrome will work. Thinking red is my first choice, then black and then chrome.

unfortunately I cant afford to spend $500 on lugs... well, I might be able to, but would really rather not lol.

I know anodized and painted lugs came up, but does anyone do a powder coat? I couldnt think of a reason why that wouldnt work and if it holds up on rims, shouldnt it hold up on lugs?

Any other recommendations? Thanks for ideas so far

edit: does anyone have pics of some anodized red? I know I've seen some things in anodized red before and it actually did look red... so I'm guessing -someone- out there has some lugs that work as well... if not, oh well. I'm thinking I might just go with the rays anodized red or black... would short or extended be better?

well, since I'm considering it... might as well ask... how well does black anodized usually come out? No real rush I guess, but want to figure it all out in advance. And is there any reason extended would be required? or is it just an option or what... any explanation would be appreciated. Thanks

I have Rays in red anodized lug nuts and they don't match a red 8 and look kind pink, but from a distance they look OK. Dont have a pic available. Very light though.

Thanks... exactly what I was looking for... going to give the black rays a try I think. Even if they are a bit light, I think it will work.

meh, they look good enough for me... going to work better than chrome or a pinkish/red. Thanks for pics! really helped me decide... managed to get a deal with my rims to include center caps and lugs for a rather great price so I was pretty set on giving the black ray's a try, and now I'm glad I was heading that direction... Been waiting to order all this stuff... going to be very happy once I do.
