seems that the new rx-8 has arrived yet my car has been in the shop for 8 weeks













i'll give a review i just took these photo's as i drove by to check on my car just a few minutes a go

 

And it looks to be Speed version. Cool.

 

I want the rims....

 

Black plastic thing doesn't look so bad with that new black exterior color. Actually looks pretty damn good compared with that 1st generation next to it.

WTF, why has your car been in the shop for 8 weeks? That blows.

you know. the original 8 looks awkward as hell without the appearance package...but with it? i think it looks miles better than the new car. cleaner lines, and no plastic. i don't get it. call me partial...

 

Actually, I had exactly the opposite thought - namely how much better the first generation looks next to that plastic-clad caricature of the car.

 

That plastic is kinda sucky, but I LOVE the seats and rims.

 

I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the seats... most people seem to like them, but personally I really do like the rotary theme on the seats...

 

The new seats seem like they hug you and have a nice fit, but they look ugly as hell to me. I like the outside changes though, only thing that threw me off is the front bumper black, doesn't seem to match the black of the car. Maybe it's just the picture, but it definitely doesn't look like the same color

The plastic stripe thing on the grill looks awkward on dark colors like grey/black. Other than that, I think the R3 package looks good.

Ocean Mazda, Miami, FL does not expect delivery of the 2009 RX-8 until this coming August.

 

The lights look too busy.

 

^ever look at our tail lights, lol. I see what you mean though. Of course, there are no amber corners anymore a least.
