WD-50?

....just like WD-40 but protects the bearings better?

I would use Acetone, (nail-polish remover) whatever remains untouched by oily solvents wipes right off with acetone........but I would try it on a small area first, it may make the plastic cloudy.

Why did you take them off ? I was thinking of getting them , and if you don't mind where did you get them from . I read on RX8strake about them having them . Just not sure if they work or not ..........

By the way Ace hardware sells a spray that takes out stickers ( for example city stickers of the window ) That has worked for me before . You might want to give it a try . not expensive .......

3M adhesive remover. it's safe for plastic and paint and it will take almost any adhesive off. you won't be disappointed. get it at your local autoparts store. make sure to get the 3M stuff in the white and red spray can.

Goo-gone, Goof-off or Meguiars makes a clear plastic cleaner and polish that may work.
