I use an Auxmod for my 3.5 AUX input. It is connected to the tape input on the back of the head unit. This might sound like a silly question, but does anyone know of a way to change the display from "Tape Play" to something else?

I don't think that's possible. The AuxMod emulates a tape player, hence the "TAPE PLAY" display.
