Fitting a bumper IN the 8??

So I searched quite a bit, and can't find any reports of personal experiences with this. I may be buying a replacement OEM bumper- does anyone know if I'll be able to transport it in my 8 for a ~1 hour drive? I'd wrap it in blankets or sheeting to protect the interior, and I'd lay the passenger seat flat.

Does anyone know if this will work? I have my own guesses, but I'm really looking for firsthand experiences or dimensions. Thanks...

I doubt it.. but even if you could, I don't think I would want to.

Thanks a lot, that's all I was looking for.

Trust me I'm pretty **** about the interior, so it would be completely wrapped up in blankets to prevent scratches and things.

yeah there should be enough room. as long as you have it wrapped up good it should not harm your interior. the center console and the back pass through panel are what you have to look out for.

TIP: slide your seat all the way forward and then lean it back. you can get it flatter that way.

Ha, beat me to it. I just put in a 42" LCD HDTV the other day using that method. I didnt think I had a chance but I gave a whirl while waiting on my buddy to arrive. Fitting a bumper should be cake if I can get a TV that size (in box!) in there.

Agreed. Have transported many a large thing in the 8. I would recommend paying special attention to the center console. It scratches so very easily.
